Need Forgiveness?

Forgiveness is possible through faith in Jesus Christ.  To be saved you must . . .

Admit you're a sinner.  Romans 3:10 says, "There is no one righteous, not even one." Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Sin separates us from God and brings us under His judgment.  Romans 6:23 says, "The wages of sin is death."  Hebrews 9:27 says, "Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment."

Believe Jesus died in your place.  He was judged for our sin.  Isaiah 53:6 says, "We all, like sheep have gone astray.  Each of us has turned to his own way.  And the Lord has laid on him [Jesus] the iniquity of us all."  1 Peter 3:18 says, "Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."  2 Corinthians 5:21 says, "God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."

Put your confidence in Jesus' death and resurrection-trust Jesus as your Savior.  John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."  Acts 4:12 says, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."  Acts 16:31 says, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved."

When you acknowledge your sinfulness, believe that Jesus died for you, and put your hope of forgiveness completely in Jesus' death and resurrection you will be forgiven. John 3:18 says, "Whoever believes in him is not condemned."  John 5:24 says, "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."

Express your desire to God.  Tell him you want to be forgiven, that you want to be saved. Pray a prayer like this: "God, I know I'm a sinner.  I know my sin deserves to be punished.  I believe Jesus died for me.  I'm going to put my hope of forgiveness in the promise that his death and resurrection fully satisfied your demands for my sin.  Please forgive me now because of what Jesus did for me.  In Jesus name, Amen."
